There are many ways you can be involved at Everlasting Mercy Fellowship.
To start, take a few minutes to take the 'Spiritual Gifts Analysis'.
This will tell you what your areas of strength may be. It will give you some specific ideas about how those strengths can be used and what areas of ministry you may be most interested in.
There are nine basic areas of gifts identified in the analysis:
- Evangelism
- Prophecy
- Teaching
- Exhortation
- Pastor/Shepherd
- Showing Mercy
- Serving
- Giving
- Administration
Here are a few opportunities at EMF that provide a place for you to use your gifts. If you don't see something listed here that
you are interested in, let us know! The chance is that you are the person to help develop that ministry!
Hospitality
Greeters Provide a warm welcoming presence so our guests will feel expected and comfortable as they
arrive for Sunday Service or Bible Study Group. We have a place to serve just for you!
Follow Up Team Help us stay in touch with guests by sending postcards to visitors, mailing cards to those who are ill, etc.
Set Up Ensure the welcome table is set up, and set out other items needed for service each Sunday.
Administrative
Office/Organization Do you enjoy organizing and detail-oriented work? Would you like to use your gift of administration
to help people grow in their relationships with God and others? We're looking for someone to devote a few hours a week to this important role. (We especially need help right now in preparing
the EMF-Racine offices.)
Action Squad Are you able to determine all of the steps that need to happen in order to achieve a goal? Do
people always tell you that you are very detailed? You are needed for the EMF Action Squad. This team helps plan and implement special events and activities throughout the year.
Child Care
Be a caregiver for the children of EMF and enable the parents to participate in the sermon each
Sunday. There is also the opportunity to care for children during weekly bible studies.
Facilities
A team of handy people who are able to overcome the challenge of keeping everything maintained
(e.g., dry wall patches, minor hardware, etc.) Tradespeople interested in this area are strongly needed.
Outreach
EMF Street Team With a new location soon to open in Racine, the Street Team will help get the word out about
EMF. Team will be responsible for handing out flyers, helping with special events in the area, etc.
Prayer & Intercession
Prayer is one of the most important foundations of ministry.
- Arrive early before service and pray in the sanctuary for those who will be attending.
- Pray for the needs of those who respond for prayer after service and bible studies.
- Visit and pray for the sick in the hospital or at home.
- Pray for the people, leaders and ministries at EMF, the city, nation and world.
- Critical support of outreach teams through prayer.
Tech Team
The EMF Tech Team is a group who oversee and operate all of the audio and video equipment
needed for each of our services and other special events.
Teaching
You can help our at-home bible studies by leading the group in bible study, helping to guide the
discussion, and by praying for needs of those who attend.
Communications
Do you enjoy coming up with ways to reach out to people and share information? You can help
develop e-newsletters, special mailings, the website, and other ways we communicate information about EMF. The possibilities are endless!
Music
There is a wide variety of ways you can help with the music and worship at EMF. From rapping,
to singing, to producing music, there is a place for you!
Ministry Assessment/Leadership Development Team
Are you good at seeing the potential of others? Help others discover their gifts and get them
plugged in to a ministry that allows them to develop and grow. Develop training materials and classes to equip and prepare people for specific ministries.
